Art of Deception Launches on New TV Network

San Antonio, Texas (April 23, 2008) - The Art of Deception (AOD) lost national television distribution following the bankruptcy of the MEN's Channel (MOR) in September, 2007.  Drew H. Butterwick, host and Executive Producer for AOD, quickly began exploring other avenues for the program.  A relationship was established with Rusty Faulk, Merrill Sport and others, who were in the process of creating a new outdoor network, the Pursuit Channel.

After eight months of hard work, planning and a several rivers of blood, sweat and tears, the channel launched on April 23, 2008.  Pursuit Channel is now broadcast on DirecTV, channel 611, under the call letters “HUNT.”  Further distribution is planned, but immediately the channel reaches over 17 million households, via DirecTV.

This also means increased distribution for the popular segment, Red, White and Blue Outdoors (RWB).  RWB is a weekly segment of AOD, which features men and women of the armed forces and civil service. This production, dedicated to America's Heroes, can once again be viewed by millions of patriots across the country.  RWB was founded by Tony Dukes, who teamed up with Butterwick and AOD, in January of 2007.

AOD sponsors were greatly affected as well, throughout this extended waiting period. Predator Camouflage, the title sponsor for AOD, will be able to continue with its push against the other camo giants.  “The best way for people to see what is truly the world's most effective camo pattern, is not just through clever commercials and professional endorsements.  This network launch was critical, in order to promote Predator and others via real hunting footage. We feel our show soft sells all our sponsor products by letting the audience make up their own mind.  Fancy graphics does equal a fast and accurate bow.  Making a 53 yard shot on Kodiak Bear, with an Alpine Silverado, sells bows, the camo, the arrows and other products accordingly,” explained host, Drew H. Butterwick.

Predator has recently contracted with Bowsite.com as a “platinum sponsor.”  Pat Lefemine founder of the websites Bowsite.com and Bowhunting.tv has already begun scheduling fall hunts, where he will wear Predator Deception camouflage and film in conjunction with AOD.  (Bowsite.com has been a sponsor of AOD since 2004).  The new network helps complete this cross-promotional venture.

Other outdoor companies who will gain exposure through AOD and Pursuit include, Alpine Archery, Outdoor Edge Knives, Excalibur Crossbow, Gold Tip, Lumenok, Trufire, Magnus, Horn Hunter Packs, Montana Black Gold, the Cube targets and many more.

AOD and RWB outdoors can be seen on Pursuit Channel on Mondays (10:30p), Fridays (2:30p), Saturdays (10a) and Sundays (10:30a) C.S.T. on DirecTV, channel 611.  Further distribution and times can be found on the artofdeceptiontv.com website
