Jack Coad, Staff Shooter Coordinator, Buffalo, NY

Jack Coad has been an avid bow hunter since 1992. Jack has been hunting since he was 14 years old, but never considered himself a true hunter until he picked up his first bow. He enjoys the outdoors and uses any reason he can to get back to nature. Jack’s regular job is in law enforcement, mostly working in high crime areas in New York cities. He uses his time in the woods as a way to relieve stress and get back to the simpler things in life. He truly enjoys the vast contrast between the city during the week and the woods on the weekends. Getting back to nature is how he re-charges his batteries.

Jack has taken numerous whitetail deer, black bear, and wild turkeys with archery equipment and is looking forward to his first elk with the bow. Jack spends many hours in his stand with his Alpine bow even during the gun season. He believes that responsible and ethical archers practice all year long.

Jack is also a local 3-D competitor. He believes in staying in good form throughout the entire year not just in September. He accomplishes this by competing in various leagues and tournaments in the New York and Pennsylvania areas.

Jack is a Hunter Safety and Bow Certification Instructor for the state of New York. One of Jack’s reasons for becoming a volunteer instructor was because of the misinformation relative to the archery industry and the lack of current knowledge regarding modern equipment by other hunting information sources. Jack specializes in introducing children and women to the outdoors. He has been an active instructor for numerous Jake Day and Women -In -The Outdoors events in the Buffalo, NY area.

When Jack is not actively scouting or hunting he is speaking about it on the seminar circuit. Jack conducts numerous seminars throughout the country especially in the Northeast. Jack has been a very active and proud pro-staffer for Alpine Archery for a number of years. In addition to Alpine Archery; Jack is a pro-staffer for Summit Treestands, G-5 Outdoors, Goldtip, Knight & Hale, Code Blue, Scent-Lok, Mossy Oak, and Knight Rifles. These affiliations keep him very busy when he is not fighting crime during the work week.
