I have a wife, Kelly, and two kids, Logan and Karleigh. My wife and daughter do not shoot yet, but my son Logan has been shooting with me for about 5 years. We live just outside of Vernon B.C. and have lived here most of our lives. I am a demolition contractor, specializing in recycling used building products. It is a family owned and operated business.
I have had a lot of successes with 3D archery in Canada. Most recently, and the high point of my shooting career, I won the Open category at the FCA outdoor 3D National Championships. I was also the winner of the Grand Prix Showdown event at the same shoot. I have been two time Provincial champion in British Columbia. I shoot about 15 local 1 & 2 day shoots and find myself posting high scores at most of them. A trip to Olympia, Washington for the Rinehart-100 shoot in 2007 found me placing high scores on both the North American and Safari courses.
I started 3D archery as a way to practice for bow hunting as hunting is my passion. Last hunting season I was fortunate enough to harvest a stone sheep and a pretty good mule deer with my bow. Other animals that fell to the broadhead include a couple of elk, several deer and a few black bear. My most exiting hunts are just around the corner as I am about to go on a moose, caribou, and grizzly hunt in the B.C. north. I am also in the process of booking an African Safari for plains game. All of which I will be sporting an Alpine bow.
