Since a very young age, Donnie has always expected excellence of himself. This high expectation produced a drive that has allowed him to be successful in his endeavors. As a high school student and three-year starting quarterback, Donnie broke many records for the Graves County Eagles. He was named the MVP and District 1 All WKC Player of the Year. However, football was his second love.

His first is the outdoors. Donnie was raised to appreciate nature, practice hunting ethics, and sportsmanship. At the age of eleven, he picked up his first compound bow and developed a passion for the sport. With a keen eye and calm assurance, he was determined to shoot like the big boys. He applied the lessons he learned on the football field to the tree stand.

His love for the outdoors and competitive nature crossed paths. Donnie was introduced to the sport of competitive archery. The attributes that made him successful on the football field, were used as a springboard to launch his success in the world of competitive archery. Practice, dedication, and his commitment to excellence prepared him for his first tournament. Donnie was named Limbsaver Known Distance High 40 Yards Champion in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is eager to excel as a competitive archer and continue his quest to be number one on this field.
