I had played around with archery when I was very young but had not done it seriously. In 1980 I was looking for something to keep me active since I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was two. Archery looked interesting so I thought, let's give it a try! You know the old saying "As a duck takes to water" that was me an Archery! I couldn't pound enough arrows into a target to satisfy me. With a lot of desire and practice, good things started to happen.
In the late 80's and early 90's, I won the Nebraska State Indoor 300 shoot several times and placed highly other years. The last three years I've placed 3rd, 1st, and 2nd in the Nebraska State Marked 3-D shoot. I owe a lot of this to good equipment, which is what I've been blessed to shoot, thanks to Alpine Archery!
