My name is Barry Moon and I live in Toccoa, Georgia a small town in Northeast Georgia. I am the Maintenance Manager at Coats and Clark, Inc., a textile manufacturing plant in Toccoa. I have been employed there for thirty-six years.
I have enjoyed the sport of hunting since I was about six years old, when I started Squirrel hunting with my Dad. I started bow hunting when I was sixteen and I haven't missed a season in the past forty-two years.
My wife Dianne and I have been married for thirty-four years and we have two sons, Jeremy and Jay. The boys and I have enjoyed many days hunting and fishing together. When Jay was seventeen, he got a new bow for Christmas. The deer hunting season was coming to an end and that’s when we decided to try shooting in a 3D archery tournament. Since then, I haven't missed many weekends shooting in tournaments. I haven't done anything more enjoyable or addictive than 3D archery. I started out shooting on the local level. North Georgia is a great place to live if you like 3D archery. We have five Archery Clubs within seventy-five miles of home. The clubs all rotate so there is a tournament almost every weekend.
I started shooting ASA tournaments in 2000 and now I try to go to all of the ASA Pro Am's. I started out in the Hunter class and now I shoot in the Senior Open class. I have also shot in a few of the IBO Southern Triple Crown events. I have missed only two ASA Pro Am's in the past six years and have placed in several of them.

I have harvested a lot of deer over the years, but I still feel like I have taken a trophy even when I kill a doe with archery equipment. My best buck was a nine point that I killed with a recurve in 1977.
I have met a lot of great people and made a lot of friends while hunting and shooting in tournaments and hope to continue enjoying this great sport for years to come.
