The 3rd Generation Velocitec Cam has Dynamic Load Balancing, eliminating
cam lean issues...

"Patent pending"

Alpine Archery has long been known as an innovator in the industry. With Innovation comes improvement. For 2010, Alpine Archery is improving the Velocitec system yet again.
Introducing the Velocitec 3G! Based on the same tried and true platform of the Velocitec cam, the 3G has features that not only enhance the performance of the bow, but create the most user friendly, powerful, and shootable system available in the entire archery industry.
The Velocitec 3G will soon be hailed as the premier cam with the full combination of speed, power, smoothness, and overall shootability. We have added a platform under the module on the bottom cam to allow the power buss to create a smooth, quiet transition into the groove to complete the draw cycle.
The use of the dual payout grooves are specific to keeping the transfer of load balanced and reducing the proverbial “cam lean”… Alpine has refined this by helically machining the payout grooves on the 3G Cam. This measure ensures perfect cam balance in both static and dynamic positions while keeping the balance through the entire draw cycle and maintains that balance during the shot sequence. All this provides you with the most accurate cam system available. And you thought the i-phone was technical!

The 3rd Generation...

The blue lines represent the path the yoke will follow to maintain a lateral shift of about .050 of an inch.

The illustration at the right shows the take-up grooves on the 3G Velocitec Cam with the new helical groove on the cam. Theblue lines represent the path the yoke harness will follow as the cam is drawn.
The green lines represent the path the yoke would follow on a cam without helical milling of the groove.

As the cam is drawn, the force applied to the limbs change from one side to the other, which normally induces cam lean. Alpine’s exclusive “Dynamic Load Balancing System” with helical grooves machined into the new Velocitec 3G Cam System, move the balance point of the limb laterally in a continuous motion as the cam is drawn, thereby following the load change and keeping the cam straight, throughout the entire draw cycle.

Alpine’s no hassle balanced hybrid...
The Velocitec High Performance Cam... Alpine Archery has raised the bar for 2007 with the introduction of the new Velocitec Cam System. Once again, Alpine is leading the way to revolutionizing the archery industry. The Velocitec Cam System will soon be referred to as the Cam of the Future. The engineers at Alpine are known for their thinking “outside the box” and this year is no exception. The result is a very high performance and equally balanced hybrid 2 cam that sports dual payout grooves. The dual payout grooves on the Velocitec Cam primarily serve two main functions. They stabilize cam lean and keep both cams synchronized throughout the draw cycle. This hybrid feature drastically reduces timing issues associated with conventional 2 cam bows. Timing issues arise when one end of the buss cable is permanently anchored to a fixed position such as the axle. With the Velocitec Cam System, both buss cables stretch from the take up groove on one cam to the pay out groove on the opposing cam. The end result is both cams synchronized in perfect harmony, continually staying in time. Licensed under Patent #6,990,970 b 1 Velocitec, the Cam of the Future...

The Velocitec difference...
Power, balance, and smooth draw force.

By combining two distinctly different string profiles on our new Velocitec Cam, we are able to provide awesome velocity levels with a super smooth feel when drawing and firing the bow.

The Velocitec Control Cam works with the lower power cam to store energy and reduce recoil while providing a smoother feel when drawing and firing the bow.

The Velocitec Power Cam stores tremendous energy levels to maximize arrow velocity. Both the power cam and the control cam have twin payout grooves for total load balancing.

Perfect draw length setting
and a rock solid wall...
New for 2009, the Velocitec Cam will feature an adjustable draw stop which allows for the fine tuning of draw lengths and provides a solid back wall. In addition to the adjustment of the draw stop, 1/2” draw modules are also available. velocitec draw stop
We take the hassle out of string and buss cable adjustments...
Included with every Silverado Series bow are two small 3/8” carbon rods. These rods are designed specifically for the purpose of loading or cocking the cam. By loading or cocking the cam, one can relax the string or buss without the use of a bow press to install a peep, arrow rest cord, or change the string or buss cable. This method is much faster and easier than using a bow press.
